20 Beautiful Childeren

IN HONOR and MEMORY OF THE CHILDREN AND TEACHERS FROM SANDY HOOK

TWAS 11 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS AROUND 9:38

WHEN 20 BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN STORMED THRU HEAVENS GATE

THEIR SMILES WERE CONTAGIOUS THEIR LAUGHTER FILLED THE AIR

THEY COULD HARDLY BELIEVE ALL THE BEAUTY THEY SAW THERE

THEY WERE FILLED WITH SUCH JOY THEY DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO SAY

THEY REMEMBERED NOTHING OF EHAT HAPPENED EARLIER THAT DAY

WHERE ARE WE? ASKED A LITTLE GIRL AS QUIET AS A MOUSE

THIS IS HEAVEN DECLARED A SMALL BOY WE ARE SPENDING CHRISTMAS AT GODS HOUSE

WHEN WHAT TO THEIR WONDERING EYES SHOULD APPEAR

BUT JESUS THEIR SAVIOR THE CHILDREN GATHERED NEAR

HE LOOKED AT THEM AND SMILED AND THEY SMILED JUST THE SAME

THEN HE OPENED HIS ARMS AND HE CALLED THEM BY NAME

AND IN THAT MOMENT WAS JOY THAT ONLY HEAVEN CAN BRING

THOSE CHILDREN ALL FLEW TO THE ARMS OF THEIR KING

AND AS THEY LINGERED IN THE WARMTH OF HIS EMBRACE

ONE SMALL GIRL TURNED AND LOOKED AT JESUS FACE

AND AS IF HE COULD READ ALL THE QUESTIONS SHE HAD

HE GENTLY WHISPERED TO HER I WILL TAKE CARE OF YOUR MOM AND DAD

THEN HE LOOKED DOWN ON EARTH THE WORLD FAR BELOW

HE SAW ALL OF THE HURT THE SORROW THE WOE

THEN HE CLOSED HIS EYES AND OUTSTRETCHED HIS HAND

LET MY POWER AND PRESENCE RE ENTER THIS LAND

MAY THIS COUNTRY BE DELIEVERD FROM THE HANDS OF FOOLS

IAM TAKING BACK MY NATION I AM TAKING BACK MY SCHOOLS

THEN HE AND THE CHILDREN STOOD UP WITH A SOUND

COME NOW MY CHILDREN LET ME SHOW YOU AROUND

EXCITEMENT FILLS THE SPACE SOME SKIPPED AND SOME RAN

ALL DISPLAYING ENTHUSIASM THAT ONLY A SMALL CHILD CAN

AND I HEARD HIM PROCLAIM AS HE WALKED OUT OF SIGHT

IN THE MIDST OF THE DARKENESS

I AM STILL THE LIGHT!

Let Him In-The Inn Keeper

"He then carefully lifted from the case something that resembled an arched entrance or passageway made of stone. John placed it in the nurse's hands do she could examine it more closely.

It was fascinating. It made her think of the kind of doorways people must have entered thousands of years ago. Small as it was, it had been crafted with great attention to detail. It seemed made of real stones and mortar. Thick piece of cloth hung where Constance expected to see a door.

Then Constance's eyes focused on something that had been painted on the stones above the entrance. It looked as though it had been written long ago in a language she could not understand.

"I made this myself," John said proudly. "It's the entrance to the inn where there was no room for Joseph and Mary"

"There was a man who turned away Joseph and Mary- not because he was mean or thoughtless. He was just taking care of business. What haunted him, though, was the feeling that he didn't really do all he could have done for the pregnant woman and her husband."

'I am a man forgotten; no one recalls my name.
And thousands of years will fail to fully erase the shame.
But I turned a profit nicely that day
That I turned the couple away... I turned them away.

I didn't sleep that evening, though I'd sold out my place.
Somehow I felt uneasy... Something about her face.
Why did I wish that of let the stay?
I don't think they could have paid... Or could they have paid?

Restless I left my bedroom.
I walked the streets all night,
Lost in the world I lived in.
Then found by a heavenly light!
Staring at one bright star in the sky,
I head a baby cry.

I knew where the cry had come from
'Cause if told them where to go,
But I didn't think I could face them,
So sadly I slowly walked home,
Missing my chance to share in the joy.
I never saw her boy.

He never would condemn me.
I did that all on my own.
He offered His forgiveness,
And ever since then I've known
He lets us choose each hour of each day,
If we'll let Him in to stay.

Whether it be in your world today
Or a crowded Bethlehem inn,
Find a way... make Him room... let Him in.'

Constance hung the ornament far enough on the evergreen branch that there was no danger of it accidentally falling off. And as she did, she noticed again the strange writing across the top of the ornament. John read her thoughts and answered,

"That was the inscription written by the Innkeeper over the entrance to his inn shortly before he died. I wanted to preserve it on the ornament just the way my friend had written it. It says 'Let Him In.'"
- A Man Forgotten, The Forgotten Carols by Michael McLean

This time of year is when we celebrate the birth of our Christ and Savior Jesus Christ, and sometimes we need to stop what we are doing and just think about the beauty of what this holiday season is really about.

There were so many important people who were in the background of his birth that have been forgotten and misunderstood. This story really helps to recognize those forgotten people and to see how important they really were.

I love this Christmas story so much. As a Christmas tradition my family and I read this book every year in December, and I treasure it so much. This is a tradition I want to pass on to my future home and family because it is so precious to me.

This Christmas story tells of the birth of our Savior from a different view than we are used too. It gives Christmas so much more meaning, and helps me and my family to have a Christ centered Christmas.

A Letter From My Headmaster

This is one of the greatest men I know. He is such an inspiration in my life. He always knows what to say when I am feeling down, and even if he doesn't know it, he has made a huge impact in my life. I could not imagine a better headmaster.

Dear Students,

You are at the end of a very meaningful and intense semester. You have worked hard, and have a few more days of hard work in front of you. I have been thinking about you this morning. I know many of you are doing more work and harder work than you've ever done before.
As I was thinking about you, I began thinking about a few things I have learned in my own academic pursuits. I decided, heck, why not share a few with you?
So, here are a few things I believe. Maybe they're relevant during the last couple of days of your semester.
• I believe we are all connected. I think when you conquer academic challenges on your own, in your own home, wherever it may be; it somehow makes us all a little better. I can't explain it, but I believe it.
• I believe we all have a voice of character and integrity within us - we usually don't need someone else to tell us when we're cutting corners or taking the easy way out. We can sense it ourselves.
• I believe that hard work and academic discipline always pay off. Sometimes the payoff won't come until some point later in life, but they always pay off. ALWAYS! Your hard work, regardless of grades or goals or glory, will always pay off at some point in your life. Trust me on this.
• I believe every one of you is a genius in some way.
• I believe genius doesn't just manifest itself; it only rises to the surface when it's called upon. What conditions wake up our genius? Challenges. Big challenges. When you are challenged the most, your genius is most likely to rise to the surface. When you're in your comfort zone, your genius has the luxury of being lazy. This is hard to see when you're in the challenge itself, but this becomes clear in retrospect, after you've conquered it or even been beaten.
• Positive thoughts are the key to success. Every time you face a negative thought, just look it in the eyes, and then bid it farewell. Stay positive. No matter what the situation is, you can always smile and enjoy working hard.

I love you guys. You're all gifted, incredible, talented geniuses. You got this. End Fall Semester knowing you gave all you had.

Sincerely,
Mr. Ure

F.E.A.R.

This is very true, the choice is ours; and today I am making the choice to face everything and rise. I am not going to be afraid of the could be's and the what if's. Today I am making the choice the rise above everything. Today I'm not going to let anything get in my way or push me down. This is my life, and nobody can tell me how to live it.

The way people grow is by being their own person and not giving into peer-pressure. The greatest peoople in the world didn't just go with the crowd they did what they wanted and wouldn't stop till they got what they wanted, and THOSE people, they are the kind of people who chabge things. People might ask them "Why?" and they say "Why not?"

Who Will Win This Great Fight

Men are all around,
The sound of gun fire is in the air,
Men are falling down.

The tragic sounds of war,
The sounds are all around.
Men are fighting,
Men are dying.

Brother against brother,
Friend against friend,
This is the story,
The story of war.

Everyone is fighting,
Fighting for what they know to be right.
They fight for their country,
They fight for their rights.
They fight for their dear friend,
Who was lost in the fight.

Men of young and men of old,
Fight to the death,
To try to win this great fight.

Christ is the Key

A father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by his little girl. She wanted to know what the United States looked like.

Finally, he tore a sheet out of his new magazine on which was printed the map of the country. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to her and said,

'Go into the other room and see if you can put this back together.' After a few minutes, she returned and handed him the map, correctly fitted and taped together. The father was surprised and asked how she had finished so quickly.

'Oh,' she said, 'on the other side of the paper is a picture of Jesus. When I got all of Jesus back where He belonged, Then our country just came together.'

Christ is the answer to ALL our questions. I find it so reasurring, everytime I read this, that even little childeren know that. Christ will solve any puzzle or problem you might have, I guarantee it. Christ is the one true light, and with out him we would be nothing. Our country would be nothing. Our whole reason for living, would be nothing.

Follow Christ, let him be your light. He will help bring our country together if we let him and bring him into our lives. He wants to help, but can't unless we ask for his help. Pray for our country, pray for our lives. Let Christ know, we neeed his help.

This is Life, Beautifully Stated

I am posting this because I've been through a lot of these things, I've had a bad day, sometimes things just don't go right. But you know what, that's life. You just have to pick yourself up and keep moving on. I love you all, I hope you know that no matter what happens in our lives.

Beautifully stated....

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person
that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will.
You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken.
You'll fight with your best friend.
You'll blame a new love for things an old one did.

You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.

Live for the now because everything else is unknown.
